The Yankees buy championships? They won once since after 2000 thats hardly buying a championship. The Mets also spend the second most and they my friend should be compared to as the Rangers of the NHL.

I agree though the fans have to hurt the Rangers in the wallet by not going to the games.

On the other hand if we had a GM like the Devils had with an open wallet i bet he would put a winning team together. Sather has an open checkbook but has no idea which free agents to go after.

Detroit has spent a lot on there own players and free agents and they have won so the proof is right there if you have a smart GM who knows what it takes to win he will get the right pieces by way of UFA. - Chris Adams

....how many seats aren't part of a season-ticket or other 'package'? The majority of MSG's available seats are sold well in advance, and most of them are owned by folks like the rally organizers - season-ticket holders.

Bottom-line - you are absolutely 100% correct. Hitting them in the wallet is the only 'language' they (will) understand.

But you're creating an incredible conundrum for most non-corporate package owners: do I give up the seats I've had for x number of years to make a point? For many "True Blue" fans - that's like asking them to wear an authentic POTVIN jersey on the streets of New York.

One game will not make the difference. And I'd bet that most people won't give up their package/season tickets..... - dbmaven
