Thre New York Yankees will announce the hiring of former San Diego Padres GM Kevin Towers before the spring, as reported by Bob Nightengale of USA Today. Towers was also linked to the Boston Red Sox, Seattle Mariners and the New York Mets but later told various sources he was leaning towards an American League club to see how they orate.
