The New York Knicks and Minnesota Timberwolves have a deal in place that would swap Darko Milicic for Brian Cardinal according to multiple sources.

New York is expected to waive Cardinal in anticipation of a Nate Robinson to Boston Celtics deal in order to open a roster spot, if the deal should happen.

This move saves the team an additional $1.8 million going into the off-season.
