Many Knick fans were excited, because they finally cleared cap space that's been "killing" them for the last three years and it opens their chances of landing that huge superstar that everyone's been waiting for in the summer of 2010. The trade move helps the Knicks really well, because now they have space to sign at least two quality players that can be helpful; but keeping McGrady shouldn't be an option for the Knicks. The Knicks need to let McGrady go towards the end of the season, because he won't be able to help this team win a championship. He never had success as a player. Never won an MVP, never won a first round post-season series, and All-Star votes don't count. There's certain players that can help teams win championships and McGrady has never proven that he's one of those players.
