According to the Newark Star-Ledger the New York Giants have released Antonio Pierce.

Pierce has no animosity towards the release. In an e-mail he said "I'm doing great, feeling great. Looking forward to endless possibilities. Loved every moment as a NY GIANT."

He left the Washington Redskins in 2004 to sign with the Giants.
